Sherlock Communications
We're looking for a curious, organised and proactive Research Analyst to join our team, and support research projects across a variety of sectors. This is a hybrid position based in Rio de Janeiro , with flexibility and career progression opportunities.
You will work in a team to help plan, execute, and communicate research findings; support client work; and contribute to reports and presentations. It’s a varied role — ideal for someone who’s a good multi-tasker, a strong writer, and a resourceful researcher who thrives in a dynamic, detail-oriented work environment.
Broadminded is the specialist market research unit of Sherlock Communications , a mutli-award-winning Public Relations and Digital Marketing Agency with offices across Latin America. We help international clients understand the region’s specific characteristics and achieve outstanding business results, through data-driven insights.
- What you’ll do
- Assist in the development and execution of desk and field research projects;
- Assist in fact-checking , background research, and stakeholder mapping;
- Help structure and write reports , presentations (PowerPoint, Canva), and briefings (in both English and Portuguese);
- Support the day-to-day running of projects: timelines, meetings, follow-ups, file organisation, etc.

- Review and summarise content on various topics;
- Help coordinate with clients, partners and collaborators;
- What we're looking for
- Degree in Communications, Journalism, Social Sciences , or related fields;
- Strong interest in research, writing, and storytelling;
- Some previous experience or academic background in market research is a plus;
- Full proficiency in English and Portuguese (spoken and written);
- Ability to identify reliable sources and check information accuracy;
- Organised and able to manage deadlines on more than one project at a time;
- Good communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork;
- Curiosity about Latin American markets and regional trends;
- Comfortable working with autonomy and taking initiative when needed;
- Skills in data analysis and interpretation of results, as well as proficiency in data visualization tools (e.

- , Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Python), are a bonus;
- Fluency in Spanish is also a bonus.
