PHP (Symfony) EngineerRemote (CST Time Zone Overlap Required)This is for a seasoned PHP Backend Engineer (Symfony). You’ll drive the core platform’s backend (90% focus) using PHP 7.2, Symfony 5.x, MySQL, and Redis within a microservices architecture. Experience with AWS, Docker, and GitHub Actions is essential to deliver robust, scalable solutions for underserved sports communities worldwide.
- Core Requirements:
- 5+ years of professional experience in PHP development, with a strong command ofPHP 7.2and hands-on work usingSymfony 5.x.
- Solid understanding ofmicroservices architectureand building scalable, fault-tolerant, and observable distributed systems.
- Deep experience working withMySQLandRedisfor data storage and caching.
- Proficient in writing automated tests usingPHPUnitandMockery .
- Experience usingDockerfor local development and deployment workflows.
- Exposure toCI/CDpractices, with hands-on use ofGitHub ActionsandSwaggerfor API documentation.
- Experience integrating with external systems such as Salesforce.
- Comfortable withAWS(and ideally some GCP exposure) to support cloud-based infrastructure and deployments.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, able to operate independently and drive projects with minimal supervision.
- Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with front-end technologies likejQueryandSASS(approximately10%of your time will involve front-end work).
- Interest or prior experience in media or video streaming platforms.
