Upstart AEC is partnering with a top-tier fintech platform to hire a Tech Lead to own the architecture and evolution of their core trading engine. This system is mission-critical—responsible for trade execution, rebalancing, and scaling strategies across billions in assets. You’ll be hands-on with design and code, but also guide team standards, performance, and platform reliability. Think high scale, high impact, and high visibility.
- What You’ll Do
- Architect and evolve core trading systems using AWS serverless tools (Lambda, Fargate, Step Functions)
- Write clean, testable code in C# and Python
- Design and optimize data flows with DynamoDB, Elasticache, and other distributed stores
- Own your CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and Terraform
- Champion clarity: documentation, cross-team communication, and technical alignment
- Mentor teammates and help shape the platform’s future
- What We’re Looking For
- 15+ years of experience building complex, distributed systems—preferably in trading, fintech, or data-heavy environments
- Deep knowledge of system design, performance tuning, and scalable infrastructure
- Strong experience with C#, Python, and AWS-native architectures
- Proven leadership and mentoring skills—able to guide direction and elevate others
- Clear communicator who thrives in collaborative, fast-moving environments
